Top Africa News Partners with Don Bosco Kabgayi Football Training Centre to Support Football Champions in Muhanga District
Kigali, Rwanda — In a concerted effort to nurture young leaders and foster community development, Top Africa News has joined forces with the Don Bosco Kabgayi Football Training Centre to support youth football champions in Muhanga District, located in Rwanda’s Southern Province. This collaboration centers around a football championship involving teams from various training centers across the district, aiming to utilize sports as a powerful tool for leadership development, discipline, and social cohesion.
The competition, organized by Don Bosco Kabgayi in partnership with the local Oratory, brings together youth aged 6 to 17 from different training centers within Muhanga. The event seeks to unite young people from diverse backgrounds, encouraging teamwork, mutual respect, and shared values. Beyond identifying athletic talent, organizers emphasize that the initiative aims to develop responsible and proactive youth who can serve as community role models and agents of positive change.
Mr. Dusabemungu Ange de la Victoire, the head of Top Africa News, underscored the significance of such initiatives: “Supporting youth in their development is essential for building a resilient and prosperous Rwanda. Our partnership with Don Bosco Kabgayi aims to empower young people to become leaders and advocates for positive change within their communities.”
The organizers highlighted that their focus extends beyond sports performance. They view football as a potent platform to instill vital values such as cooperation, integrity, and leadership. A representative from Don Bosco Kabgayi remarked, “Our goal is to use football to shape well-rounded individuals capable of contributing meaningfully to society. Supporting youth champions goes far beyond the game; it’s about nurturing future leaders who will sustain national progress.”

The championships also serve as a means to strengthen social bonds among youth in Muhanga District, fostering unity and mutual understanding. During the school holidays, the event provides a productive and engaging activity for children and adolescents, helping them stay away from negative influences and unproductive pursuits. Organizers believe that investing in youth through sports can significantly contribute to the country’s development by cultivating responsible and capable future leaders.
Top Africa News reaffirmed its commitment to supporting projects that empower youth and promote sustainable community growth. The partnership calls on sponsors, government agencies, youth organizations, and parents to actively contribute to expanding such initiatives, ensuring they reach a broader spectrum of young people across Rwanda.
With continuous collaboration and community support, organizers remain optimistic that Muhanga District will produce many youth champions capable of leading positive change, ultimately helping Rwanda to build a brighter, more resilient future.
