U.S’s Massad Boulos Appointed as Senior Advisor for Africa

The U.S. Department of State is pleased to announce the appointment of Massad Boulos as Senior Advisor for Africa. In addition to his new role, Boulos continues to serve as Senior Advisor to the President on Arab and Middle Eastern Affairs, bringing a wealth of experience to his expanded responsibilities.
As part of his new position, Senior Advisor Boulos will embark on an important trip to Africa, starting April 3. He will be joined by Corina Sanders, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, as they travel to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda.
During their visit, Boulos and his team are set to engage with Heads of State and key business leaders. The objectives of the trip include advancing efforts for sustainable peace in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and promoting U.S. private sector investment in the region, aiming to bolster economic development and stability.
This appointment and upcoming visit underscore the U.S. commitment to strengthening partnerships and supporting progress across the African continent.
