2nd edition of the Day of Solidarity: AGL and its employees mobilize for the health of communities

On September 25, 2025, AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a major player in transport and logistics present in 50 countries, including 47 in Africa, and with more than 23,000 employees, celebrated the 2nd edition of its “Solidarity Day”. This year, with health as its focus, the company’s global initiative reaffirmed its commitment to local communities.

On the same day, AGL teams across Africa and the rest of the world carried out solidarity initiatives responding to the specific needs of their territories:

  • Rehabilitation of health centers and schools,
  • Donations of medical equipment,
  • Awareness campaigns and free screenings,
  • Support for vulnerable people or people with disabilities, etc.

The result: over €167,000 in donations, dozens of facilities supported, and thousands of direct beneficiaries.

Solidarity Day reflects our commitment to go beyond our role as a logistics operator and take concrete action for the well-being of our communities. By mobilizing our employees in each country, we combine the strength of an international company with the proximity of local presence, to generate a tangible and lasting impact. “, says Khadija Komara, Director of Communication and Sponsorship at AGL.

Solidarity at the heart of AGL’s DNA

At AGL’s headquarters in Puteaux, solidarity took on a unique form. The teams took part in a “Solidarity Olympiad”, filled with sporting and fun challenges. With each victory, tokens earned contributed to a donation fund dedicated to those most in need. Thanks to this collective commitment, a total of €15,000 was donated to three associations:

  • Imagine for Margo fights against childhood cancer by funding European research, raising public awareness, and supporting children and their families.
  • Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque enables children suffering from severe heart defects to undergo surgery in France, Belgium, Swiss and Spain when treatment is not available in their own country.
  • Fondation des Hôpitaux works to improve the daily lives of patients, their families, and caregivers in hospitals. Each year, it organizes the emblematic campaign Pièces Jaunes for hospitalized children.

A day that has become an annual event

Created by AGL, Solidarity Day is a flagship event in the company’s calendar. Each year, a global theme guides local initiatives, reinforcing the group’s collective impact and social commitment. The day also celebrates employees’ and partners’ engagement with local communities, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose. By mobilizing its employees on the ground, AGL embodies one of its core values: solidarity, creating a direct and measurable impact.
