Afrikanizm Builds Global Partnerships in African and Afro-Descendant Art

Platform connects artists, galleries, and collectors worldwide, positioning Black Art as a leading force in the global market

Lisbon, September 30, 2025 – Afrikanizm Art, a global platform dedicated to promoting and celebrating contemporary African and Afro-descendant art, founded by Luso-Angolan entrepreneur João Boavida, has just formalized strategic partnerships with leading international galleries in the United States, France, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Ghana, and China. Through these collaborations, the platform connects artists, galleries, collectors, and art enthusiasts worldwide, reinforcing its presence and influence in the global art market.

“These partnerships represent a strategic step for Afrikanizm and for the entire Black Art ecosystem. More than expanding our global presence, we are creating tangible opportunities for artists, galleries, and collectors to connect in an environment of trust, visibility, and impact. We believe that African, African-American, and Afro-Brazilian art deserves a central place in the global market, and these collaborations are essential to professionalize, elevate, and amplify the voices of creators. By joining forces with renowned galleries, we are strengthening a movement that transforms narratives, generates real economic value, and promotes a more inclusive and sustainable art market,” says João Boavida, CEO of Afrikanizm Art.

The partner galleries include: Alessandro Berni Gallery (New York, USA), Gallery Soview (Accra, Ghana), Lis10 Gallery (Paris, France; Hong Kong, China; Arezzo, Italy), The EAAE Gallery (Szczecin, Poland), and This is Not a White Cube (Lisbon, Portugal; Paris, France).

In the first phase, the partnerships will focus on increasing the galleries sales capacity, enabling them to market artworks through Afrikanizm’s online platform and participate in exhibitions promoted by Afrikanizm. In subsequent phases, these collaborations will further support Afrikanizm-affiliated artists and enable the creation of joint works with the galleries, strengthening artistic development and expanding the global reach of their creations.

With these partnerships, Afrikanizm consolidates its role as a global hub, bringing together the entire Black Art ecosystem and offering unique opportunities for connection and visibility through an integrated network where artists, galleries, and collectors can interact, grow, and redefine the standards of appreciation for African and Afro-descendant art worldwide.

By acquiring artworks through the platform, collectors and art lovers contribute to positive social and economic impact, while supporting both artists and galleries through a sustainable and innovative model.

“At Afrikanizm, we are proud to represent more than 200 artists from 18 African countries, with hundreds of cataloged works, and to deliver a curatorial approach of excellence that values the diversity of contemporary talent and ensures that each artist and each piece reflects professionalism, dedication, and artistic quality. These numbers reflect only the beginning of a larger movement: positioning African and Afro-descendant art as a leading force in the global market,” adds João Boavida.
