Kigali, Rwanda — From September 8th to 10th, 2025, Practical Action Rwanda will be actively participating in the Africa Climate Summit, a key event convening leaders, experts, and organizations dedicated to addressing the continent’s climate challenges.

Practical Action Rwanda’s Country Director, Denise Umubyeyi, alongside Market and Productive Use of Energy Specialist Robert Mutalindwa, will share the organization’s experiences and successful initiatives in continental climate discussions. Their contributions aim to highlight proven solutions that are transforming lives across Rwanda and beyond, focusing on energy access, sustainable agriculture, and climate resilience.

During the summit, Practical Action Rwanda plans to:

  • Showcase innovative solutions that support communities in adapting to climate impacts.
  • Amplify the voices of vulnerable groups including refugees, displaced populations, women, youth, and smallholder farmers, advocating for their inclusion in climate finance and national adaptation planning.
  • Foster collaborations between governments, the private sector, and development partners to translate policy commitments into practical actions.

“Africa’s climate future depends on solutions that work for people on the ground,” said Denise Umubyeyi. “At the Africa Climate Summit, we are bringing Rwanda’s experience to influence continental action and ensure vulnerable communities are not left out of climate finance and policy decisions.”
