Tadej Pogačar Wins Back-to-Back Road World Championships in Kigali

KIGALI, Rwanda — Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar secured his second consecutive World Championship title at the 2025 Road Race in Kigali. The 27-year-old rider completed the challenging course in 6 hours, 21 minutes, and 20 seconds, maintaining his dominance over the competition.

Pogačar’s impressive performance saw him finishing ahead of Belgian star Remco Evenepoel, who crossed the line just over a minute behind, and Irish cyclist Ben Healy, who took third place. This victory marks a historic milestone for Rwanda, as it hosts the prestigious event for the first time on the African continent from September 21 to 28.
